Terms & Conditions

Confirmation of Booking

• Your booking is only fully confirmed once we have received your deposit and you have received a booking confirmation email from us.
• Your deposit must be paid within 48 hours of receiving your quote from us. Until a deposit is received, your date is not held and we may accept another booking for the same date and time.
• Upon receipt of your deposit, you will receive an email confirming your deposit and all of your event details, including character, date, time and location. Please retain this email.
• Agreement and acceptance of these Terms & Conditions is mandatory for all bookings, whether made through our online enquiry form, by email, or over the phone.

Deposits & Payments

• A deposit is required to secure bookings. All deposits are non-refundable once your event is confirmed via email.
• The remaining balance must be paid in full 10 days before your event date. Failure to settle the balance in advance may result in your booking being forfeited with no refund.
• If we do not receive your final payment 10 days before your event, we reserve the right to cancel your event, and your deposit will not be refunded.
• If you wish to change your package after paying your deposit, this can only be an upgrade, as we are unable to reduce your package once booked.
• Payments can be made by bank transfer. Full payment details will be provided in your booking confirmation email.

Cancellations & Postponements

• We understand that sometimes an event may need to be cancelled or postponed. Subject to availability, we are happy to reschedule your event within 12 months of your original date.
• To reschedule, your deposit will be transferred to your new date. Deposits can only be transferred once.
• If you wish to cancel your event completely, your deposit is non-refundable.
• If you cancel within 10 days of your event date, the full balance becomes due and is non-refundable, as we will have turned away other bookings for your slot.
• Once within 10 days of your event, your booking is locked in and cannot be adjusted, rescheduled, or transferred.
• Because every booking is for a specific date, the 14-day cancellation period that applies to some online purchases does not apply to bookings with Dream Day Parties (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013).
• In the unlikely event that we must cancel due to performer illness or extenuating circumstances, we will always do our very best to provide a suitable replacement. If we are unable to provide any service, a full refund (including deposit) will be provided.

Our Entertainers

• We reserve the right to change which entertainer is allocated to your event. We are under no obligation to notify you of this change in advance.
• All of our entertainers are DBS checked and trained to the Dream Day Parties standard.
• Our performers are children's entertainers, not childminders or carers. You must ensure there is suitable adult supervision at all times. This is especially important for babies, toddlers, and children with additional needs.
• Our entertainers will, under no circumstances, accept any form of verbal or physical abuse. If a performer feels threatened, unsafe, or uncomfortable due to the behaviour of any children or adults present, we reserve the right to terminate the event immediately, and full payment will still be required.

Travel

• Travel within 15 miles of our base is included in all package prices.
• Beyond 15 miles, a travel charge of 45p per mile will be added, along with any toll charges or parking fees incurred. A minimum travel cost may apply.
• Performers will arrive by car, so parking arrangements must be discussed prior to the event.
• If you change the address of your event and do not inform us, we reserve the right to add a travel charge if this changes the distance or travel time for your entertainer.

Event Information & Numbers

• You must inform us of the number of children attending your event at the time of booking. One entertainer can comfortably entertain up to 25 children. Any more than this, we would recommend an additional entertainer.
• If significantly more children attend than were stated at booking, we reserve the right to apply an additional charge, and the quality of the experience for all children cannot be guaranteed.
• We love to perform outside in the summer, but please ensure there is plenty of shade for our performers, and always have an indoor alternative ready in case the weather changes.
• We strongly recommend turning off bouncy castles and keeping background noise to a minimum while our entertainer is performing. If distractions such as bouncy castles or soft play cannot be turned off or packed away, the performer cannot be expected to hold the attention of all the children.

Liability

• Dream Day Parties holds full Public Liability Insurance. A certificate is available on request.
• Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
• We accept no liability for any event lateness or cancellation related to Force Majeure (e.g. extreme weather, traffic, accidents, or emergencies beyond our control). In these cases, you will only ever be charged for the amount of time your entertainer is present at your event.
• Dream Day Parties is not liable for any costs associated with your event outside of the entertainer fee (e.g. venue hire, catering, or decorations).
• Adult supervision of all children remains the responsibility of the parent, guardian, or event host at all times.
• We reserve the right to modify any aspect of the event (such as props, equipment, party structure, or games) at our discretion to ensure the smooth running and safety of the event.

Characters & Copyright

• It is not the intention of Dream Day Parties to infringe upon or violate any copyright laws.
• All of our characters are our own original, generic creative interpretations and are in no way associated with, endorsed by, or representative of any name-brand, licensed, or copyrighted characters or franchises.
• Our costumes, characters, jewellery, wigs, and props are derived from our own imaginations. We do not claim to be, or to represent, any copyrighted or name-brand character.
• By booking with us, you acknowledge and accept that our characters are generic and that we do not represent any licensed character. If you require a licensed or copyrighted character for your event, you should contact the official licence holder.

Photography & Media

• You are very welcome to take photographs and videos throughout your event for your own personal use.
• From time to time, we may ask your permission to use photographs or videos from your event on our website and social media for promotional purposes. We will never use any image of your child without your explicit prior consent.
• If you would prefer that no photos or videos of your event are used by us, simply let your entertainer know and we will fully respect your wishes.

Health, Safety & Allergies

• Please inform us in advance of any allergies or specific medical needs of children attending, particularly where face glitter, props, or any materials are involved.
• Any face or hair glitter we use is cosmetic-grade and skin-safe; however, it remains the parent or guardian's responsibility to inform us of any known allergies or sensitivities beforehand.

Acceptance of Terms

By paying your deposit and booking an event with Dream Day Parties, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to all of the Terms & Conditions outlined above. These terms are in place to protect both you and us, and to ensure every Dream Day is as magical, safe, and stress-free as possible.
