Who We Are

Dream Day Parties is a children’s character entertainment business based in Hertfordshire. We are responsible for the personal information you share with us through this website or when booking an event. What We Collect

When you send an enquiry or book an event, we collect:

• Your name, email address and phone number
• Your event date, location or postcode, and number of children
• The package you are interested in
• Anything you choose to tell us in your message, such as your child’s name, age, favourite character, the occasion, or any allergies or special requests
• Payment details needed to confirm your booking, such as bank transfer references

We only collect information about your child that you choose to give us, and only so we can tailor their party.

How We Use It

• To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote
• To arrange, confirm and deliver your booking
• To keep your child safe at the event, for example knowing about allergies
• To keep financial records, as required by HMRC

We use your information because you have asked us to provide a service, and to meet our legal obligations. We will never sell your information, and we will not send you marketing emails unless you have asked us to.

Photos and Videos

We will never use photos or videos of your child on our website or social media without your clear permission. If you do give permission, you can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, and we will remove the content.

Who We Share It With

We use a small number of trusted services to run the business:

• Cloudflare, which hosts this website
• Web3Forms, which receives enquiry form submissions and emails them to us
• Google Workspace, which provides our email

These providers may store information outside the UK. Where they do, they use legal safeguards approved under UK data protection law. We do not share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.

How Long We Keep It

• Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within 12 months.
• Booking and payment records are kept for 6 years, as required for tax purposes.
• Notes about your child, such as allergies, are deleted once your event has taken place, unless you book with us again.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
• Ask us to delete your information
• Object to, or ask us to limit, how we use it

To make any of these requests, email hello@dreamdayparties.com. We will respond within one month. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it, such as payment records for tax.

Cookies

This website does not use cookies, and we do not use any tracking or advertising tools.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first and we will do our best to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
